Proximity switches can be divided into cylindrical, square, groove, perforated (through) type and separate type according to their appearance. The cylindrical type is easier to install than the square type, but its detection characteristics are the same. The detection part of the groove type is inside the groove and used to detect objects passing through the groove. The through type is rarely produced in my country, but it is more common in Japan. Small parts such as screws or balls and buoys are assembled into water level detection devices.
Because displacement sensors can be made according to different principles and methods, and different displacement sensors have different "perception" methods for objects, the common proximity switches are as follows:
Passive proximity switches, eddy current proximity switches, capacitive proximity switches, Hall proximity switches, photoelectric proximity switches and other control methods. The photoelectric proximity switch is used on the busbar processing machine, and the switch made by the photoelectric effect is called the photoelectric switch. The light-emitting device and the photoelectric device are installed in the same detection head in a certain direction. When a reflective surface (object to be detected) approaches, the photoelectric device will output the signal after receiving the reflected light, so that it can "perceive" an object approaching.
Proximity switches are widely used in aviation, aerospace technology and industrial production. In daily life, such as hotels, restaurants, garages, automatic doors, automatic hot air blowers have applications. In terms of security and anti-theft, such important places as data files, accounting, finance, museums, and vaults are usually equipped with anti-theft devices composed of various proximity switches. In measurement technology, such as length and position measurement; in control technology, such as displacement, velocity, acceleration measurement and control, a large number of proximity switches are also used.
